The bibliophile volume, printed in Latin, has been preserved in whole, in two volumes. The book binding is made of wooden boards, covered in parchment, richly decorated on both covers with scenery cameos, with inscriptions in Latin in the captions. The bindings made of leather and metal are old, original. The book does not have any notes in ownership or on the reader. It is the best-known writing by the reputed and learned German theologian, philologist, and historian, Philipp Lonicer (1532-1599): CHRONICORVM TVRCICORVM, In quibus TVRCORVM ORIGO, PRINCIPES, IMPERATORES, BELLA... Feyerabendt’s dedication to baron L. Schwendi, then 435 + 11 pages, respectively one sheet with the mark of I. Wechelum of Frankfurt. impensis Sig. Feyerabendii, 1584. The second volume has, before the title, a sheet with the mark of I. Wechelum of Frankfurt (Impensis Sig. Feyerabendii, 1584), and then, on 4 sheets, Epistola dedicatoria to I. Nicolaus Stupanus, Nuncupatoria, on 3 sheets, the work’s proper text on 208 pages, and, at the end, the Index of the volume on 13 pages, and, on the 14th page, the mark from the beginning is repeated, dated 1584. Graphically, the valuable frontispieces draw attention, as well as the initials with drawings of historical scenes and vignettes, but particularly the book’s illustrations.
