An interesting element for the pictorial discourse of the period 1908-1911 is Mützner painting in maximum resonance with the lessons learned from Claude Monet - using the specific technique of character, with points juxtaposed in relief, with a restricted range of colours, often warm, but also with a solid construction of shapes and volumes - but the finished product is close to Post-Impressionism. This is even clearer after 1910, when he left Monet's workshop and enriched his palette with an influx of new visuals - he travels to Beaucaire for a while, but even more importantly, to Algeria. The year 1911 brought along both these new areas of works, and an improvement of his style, particularly due to his compositional experiments. Mützner's painting begins to have human figures, but landscapes do not disappear, yet it must be reconsidered given that the main subject is no longer nature. The pictorial response was expanding the colour spectrum, but also reconsidering his brushstrokes, which are now much freer, less calculated compared to previous years, when experiments with light subdued the visual instance. The works painted in that period were presented in Bucharest in 1912, when Romanian critique individualised Mützner as one of the most important artists who exhibited their works that year: "…by taking a red-haired model, he goes to Beaucaire in the south and he settles in one of those poetic farms the kind they have there, surrounded by gardens with vines on masonry pillars and in which a patriarchal life goes slowly. In the midst of these natural beauties he places his model and his guests, either under the shade of the arches or in the sunlight, and he paints with no other concern than colour and its poetry." Constantin Prodan, "The exhibition of painter Mützner" in "Luceafărul", year XI, issue 9, 1912, pp. 191-192.
